i think everyone is missing the point by trying to argue for and against the wtbts using words and "logical argument".
clearly, god did not want the truth to be obvious and, scripturally, it is apparent that it would not be.
jesus said that only "a few" would find the truth in these last days.

Fascinating!
We used to live in a really old log home here in NE OH. It was made of huge chestnut logs, the likes of which no longer exist since the blight took all the chestnut trees.
On very humid or windy days you could hear voices in an otherwise empty house; a man, a woman calling, children laughing. It wasn't 'creepy' coz it was so cozy-family-sounding. My dad said it was sound virations trapped in the wood, and the waves were released under the right atmospheric conditions.
Sure enough, when we took a drinking glass and stood with ear pressed to it on one of the windowlogs, the voices were amplified so you could actually hear snatches of words.
Was Pop right? Who knows.
The older I get the more convinced I become that there is a rational explanation for even the strangest phenomena.
it seems to me this site is full of anti jehovah's witness members.its easy to point out weaknesses of others or the organization they represent.jehovah's witnesses do often with other religions.if you all have decided that jehovah's witnesses are bad people or that the organization is false,then which one is the true religion?which religion teaches the correct doctrines?which religion represents gods truth?this question is for anyone.i'm asking this question with sincerity.

Went in the service with an elderly sis who kept a wooden thread spool in her coat pocket to knock with. Was mortified when she proceeded to knock the paint right off a doorpost with her enthusiastic rappin. She left three little spool-shaped dents right at eye level.

Hi Bridgette: JWism is a rigidly hierarchical religion, right? People who genuinely believe it's "the" truth are pretty much locked into the mindset that those 'taking the lead' are somehow privy to more understanding of 'deep' things than the average young rank&file schmo.
Stands to reason that some of the schmos would be curious as to what steps led some of these respected hard-working 'older men' to jettison the Watchtower Way and begin to speak out in criticism.
Some questions recur from each successive crop of newly-thinking JWs because of the commonality of the experience. This is one of them. We were after all indoctrinated the same way; when we start thinking for ourselves, it helps to know what led some of the indoctrinators to question the doctrine.
Of course occasionally the questions are snide attempts at trolling. So long as they aren't getting belligerent, though, most of these questions spring from a genuine desire to understand.
Scuse me for butting in but I've seen this cycle before, and thought to shed a little light.

What's the point in searching for 'meaning' all the time? What a waste of perfectly glorious thing like life!
Does a snowflake have to understand the meaning behind its unique crystalline beauty? Does it need to understand its place in the greater water cycle?
The point to living is to cram each second with as much love and laughter and work as you can manage. Then later on it's your job to die and fertilize a little spot for new stuff to grow and thrive.
There's no guarantee that life will be easy, or fun, or fair. Looking to make sense of it will just waste a lot of time and make you miserable. THIS MOMENT is all you really have, the rest is just stored memory and extrapolated possible futures. As Baba Ram Dass urged, BE HERE NOW. It's all there is. Might as well be where you are with all senses fully engaged instead of diverting your energies to pointless speculation on the Meaning of Meaning.
